The Samos Cooperative, 
Island of Samos

This co-op was formed in the 1930s and is actually an amalgamation of 47 co-operatives.  They are by law only allowed to make wines from the muscat blanc à petits grains.  The majority of the vineyards are grown on the south-east facing slopes of the island, at up to 600 metres altitude.  They are famous internationally for their dessert wines and have won more gold medals than we can mention.
