Saladini Pilastri, Marche

Located 100 kilometres south of Ancona along the Adriatic coast in central Italy, this noble estate is steeped in history that dates back to the 10th century.  Count Saladini Pilastri's grape growing began three centuries ago and has not ceased since.  In the 1970s these rolling hills were replanted with native grape varieties and a modern winery constructed next to the original 14th century house.  In 1995 they converted to organic viticulture and are producing wines of exceptional quality that offer some of the best value in all of Italy.
