Langoa Barton 2008 St Julien

Sister property to Leoville Barton and in the family for two centuries, their wines have been particularly good since the turn of the millenium. The soil is of a finer gravel than that of Paulliac and without the iron content. This enables the wine to produce firm tannins with an abundance of dark fruit, a powerful structure and a lively, mineral laden finish.
