Aigner Sandgrube Gruner Veltliner 2017 Kremstal
A rich gruner veltliner, very much in line with Wolfgang Aigner's father's belief that gruner was capable of being a full-boded wine for long ageing, this comes from the Sandgrube vineyard, first mentioned as early as 1001 AD. Lusciously textured with roasted parsnip, dried apricot and acacia honey on the palate, this is a big, succulent wine with chardonnay-like weight despite not seeing new oak.
