Chateau Lamarche-Canon 2018 Canon Fronsac

On the other side of the town of Libourne from St Emilion, Canon Fronsac isn't nearly so famous - or expensive - as its neighbour. Yet there's plenty of limestone amongst that famous right bank clay, and Canon Fronsac is able to produce some of the best-value wines in all Bordeaux. This has lovely integrated oak, smooth, glossy tannins and oodles of ripe, saturated red and black fruit. Give it a go but do have it with food to experience it at its best.
