Ramonet Puligny Montrachet 2018 Burgundy
Arriving in Chassagne-Montrachet in the late 1920s, Pierre Ramonet gambled successfully on buying up hallowed plots of land around the hill of Montrachet.
The Puligny is a benchmark for the appellation, as the domaine's white wines are often and not unreasonably spoken of in the same way as DRC and Henri Jayer are for reds. Extended lees ageing and batonnage are a hallmark and provide firm structure for the richness of fruit. Decant if drinking now, and allow its potential to appear.
