Madiran is an area of south-west France known for its robust reds made from tannat, often as here blended with cab sauv and cab franc. This is an estate that brought the area back to life, and this is a glorious example. Inky black with aromas of black fruits, fillet steak and vanilla. The fruit is mouthfilling and balanced, with a typical charcoal note from tannat. A sumptuous Madiran that is ready to drink.
