Champagne Jacquesson Cuvee 745 Extra Brut NV

Reputedly the favourite Champagne of Napoleon, Jacquesson's laurels have not faded. Pinot noir gives structure with apple compote, fine acidity and red fruit emerging with air, while chardonnay brings white flowers, almond and a saline, chalky finish. Intense but refined, this warrants big glasses and fine food.
