Chateau Cissac 2004 Medoc MAGNUM
Chateau Cissac is an historic property situated in the northern-most part of the Haut Medoc. It benefits from the cool breezes of the Atlantic Ocean and the strong winds are sheltered by the pine forests of the Gironde. The reputation of this estate is in great part the result of the tireless work of Louis Vialard who arrived here in the 1940s and established the fame of his family wines. The wine is fermented in large oak and aged in smaller barrels of which 40% are new adding to the spiced character of the wine. A classic cabernet dominant claret from a more elegant vintage, now soft and fully mature. Cedar, sage and ripe blackcurrant aromas come to mind combined with cured meats and cooked black pepper.
