Riedenburger Emmerbier 500ml
Emmer, or Farro, is one of the earliest known cultivated grains. Widely planted in the fertile crescent of the Middle East that cut a swathe across modern-day Israel & Iran, it has since become a rare relict crop. The malt bill here is 50% emmer, lending alluringly amber colour and ripe aromas of bananabread, parkin, caramel and fig. The palate abounds with pumpkin seed, treacle, gingerbread and a lovely creaminess.
