Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 43% Ireland

Distilled at The Shed in Leitrim, Drumshanbo is one of a new wave of Irish whisky distilleries that are reasserting the island's claim as one of the world's finest producers of whisky using the traditional and distinctive Irish Pot Still method. This is around five years old, aged mainly in bourbon barrels with a touch of oloroso cask. Fresh and minty, this is much less about the sherry cask influence of big names like Redbreast, and much more about the incisive, smooth bite of classic Irish whisky with its invigorating lemon and yellow apple fruitiness and honied texture.
