Ansgar Clusserath Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Feinherb 2018 Mosel

The blue slate slopes of the Goldtropfchen vineyard typically bring forth some of the raciest expressions of German riesling. Here, Ansgar Clusserath has fermented a little more of the sugar than usual to give an off dry style with greater breadth and texture, but still in the weightless style of the vineyard. Highly expressive with a hint of kerosene giving place to sweet notes of quince and delicately herbal notes of lemonbalm and sage, while the palate is long and lilting with a pure lifted finish.
