Chateau Pineraie 2018 Cahors

A classic Cahors at a great price, this is a fine example of an old school country red from France. Aged partly in old oak and partly in concrete this has some pure, lightly earthy black fruit, firm tannins and a touch of tea leaf on the finish. Just the perfect midweek red for some steak frites or a one-pot beef casserole.
