The little-seen lagrein grape is all about rich, rounded blackberry fruit and ripe, rounded tannins, and this is a textbook example at a great price. A worthy contender for the wine rack if you like Montepulciano d'Abruzzo or other medium weight, versatile reds. This doesn't need food but is pretty easy-going on the dinner table.
