Avamposti Pinot Nero 2020/2021 Piemonte

Piemonte is not the first place we'd start looking for good value pinot noir, but here it is! It might sound rather unimaginative, but this is really pinot noir, Italian style. It has the juicy lightness of the variety - fresh strawberry fruit and perfumed aromas - combined with the savoury tightness and grain of an Italian red, giving tangy freshness and pleasing grip on the palate. Burgundy meets Barolo, perhaps!
