Cieck Canavese Rosso Tre Carli 2019 Piemonte

Cieck are mainly known for their Erbaluce, which is the main product of the obscure Canavese DOC near Biella, north of Turin. This is made from the local Neretto di San Giorgio grape, and spents a little time in used barriques. The resulting wine is distinctly Italian with sour red cheery, roasted chestnut and a twist of herbs. Definitely more rustic than polished, it nonetheless has lots of personality for the price.
