Since taking over around a decade ago, Santiago Mayorga's focus has been on exploring the individual parcels and vineyards that make up the 30 hectare holdings at Cadus. This single vineyard wine from Lujan de Coyo spends 18 months in oak, one third of which is new, giving a luxuriously creamy, vanilla-spiced edge to the ripe plum and strawberry fruit underneath. The palate is long and finishes on a note of tea leaves. Rich and luxurious stuff.
