La Barroche Signature 2014 Chateauneuf du Pape

A deliciously mature Chateauneuf from a cooler vintage, this is far from a big, sweet fruit bomb, instead offering up fine tannins, peppery spice and meaty, dark, mourvedre-inflected fruit. This is a blend of 62% grenache, 18% mourvdre, 13% syrah, plus cinsault, clairette rose and vaccarse, aged mainly in old foudres.
