Niepoort Conciso Branco 2018/2019 Dao

Where there's good wine in Portugal there's Niepoort. Daniel Niepoort is the young face at the helm of this historic family, and their Dao project, Quinta da Lomba, near the town of Gouveia, is precious to him. Not only did we fall in love with their trio of donkeys but were smitten by this high-tension white made from very old vines of encruzado, malvasia, and others. Like a refined white Burgundy with its subtle struck match and concentrated citric attack, then oatmeal notes and weighty fruit. The wines from this estate are ones to watch as Daniel expresses his creativity with the seriously old vine fruit.
