Domaine de La Butte Haut de la Butte 2018 Bourgueil

Picked by hand, crushed by foot and produced according to Burgundian principles of vineyard selection, this is a fabulous cabernet franc from Jacky Blot that leans more towards Bordeaux in density and structure. Vivid blackcurrant fruit and a touch of dried oregano on the nose meets a lovely earthy note on the palate, which nonetheless is full of fruit and juice with no overt oak. If you like classic left bank claret, this is well worth a shot.
