Cape Mentelle Blanc 2019 Margaret River

David Hohnen may not be a household name, but after setting up Cape Mentelle in 1970 he took a hop, skip and jump over the water to New Zealand where he established Cloudy Bay in 1985, and the rest is history. This is an almost equal sauvignon blanc-semillon blend styled after white Bordeaux but considerably more citrussy and zesty. Somewhat ironically, it's a good alternative to New Zealand sauvignon blanc!
