Waterkloof Circumstance Mourvedre 2018 Stellenbosch

The biodynamic Waterkloof farm in Stellenbosch has been at the forefront of natural wine in South Africa. What we like most about the wines here is that they are natural but well made. This is one of the most successful varieties planted on the farm, delivering a wine with burly dark fruit, some dark paprika, lapsang souchong and cherrywood smoke with plenty to chew on. Do give this an hour in a decanter to open up, or a decade in the cellar.
