Champagne Pierre Peters Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs NV
One of the pioneers of vinifying and bottling their own Champagne, Camille PŽters was an ambitious grower based in Le Mesnil and amongst the first of the region to break free of early merchant houses such as Bollinger, Mumm, and Joseph Perrier.
In the early 1930s, plucky young Pierre, son of Camille, could be found at exhibitions pouring samples of the family fizz to customers at scarcely 12 years old and, by the end of his 20s, Pierre found himself in charge of some seriously spectacular sites in the C™tes des Blancs.
In actual fact a vintage wine, the Extra Brut is a blend of fruit from the four illustrious villages of Le Mesnil, Avize, Cramant, and Oger and given a dosage of just 2g/L to let the ripe fruit shine through.
