Verdant Brewery Putty 2023 DIPA 8% 440ml Falmouth

An instant classic on the UK beer scene since the first brew 2017, this is about as decadent a double IPA as you are likely to taste without flying to New York to try The Veil's offering, or California to drop in at Monkish for example. Up there with the best IPA in the world! Glowing like a satsuma in a pint of double cream and hopped to hell and back with Galaxy, Mosaic and Azacca. Dank and sweaty, but oh so fruity with it too! Deep mangoes, apricots and freshly cut grass pervade your senses. As always it is layered up on the malts front with an emphasis on Golden Promise and wheat malts for a bread crust base, whilst sacks and sacks of flaked wheat and oats bump up the creamy density further.
