Mas Lou Mourvedre Rose Selva 2020 Faugeres

Faugeres has been one of the Languedoc's most reliable performers for many decades, thanks to its distinctive schist soils, complex microclimates and old vines. However, in recent years a number of truly superb wines have comes from these sun-soaked slopes. Here we have a herbal and full-bodied rose reminiscent of good Bandol, with strawberry, bay leaf and a little hint of pepperiness on the palate. You can drink it solo, but it would also be a very fine match to a salade nicoise, lobster or even rare lamb with salsa verde.
