Feudi di San Gregorio Fiano di Avellino 2021 Campania

An old grape variety grown in volcanic vineyards much-prized by the Romans, fiano is a superb white grape with crisp freshness balanced by some muscle and grip - a little reminiscent of assyrtiko. There's some grapefruit pith and lovage on the palate, which is firm and concentrated with a surge of acidity and freshness in the middle. A wonderful match to a herb-stuffed fish, roasted whole on the grill.
