Joan d'Anguera Altaroses 2020 Montsant

Seven generations of the Anguera family have made wine in Montsant, these days focussing on local varieties, biodynamic viticulture and desperately low yields, but with hugely impressive results. Altaroses is 100% garnacha which spends a year in barrel after fermentation with wild yeasts in concrete, and the result is an ethereal, perfumed and irresistible wine with silky strawberry fruit and a to-die-for perfume of rose petals and dried herbs.
