The Kernel Double IPA SCCANS 8.9% 330ml Bermondsey

Kernel haven't brewed a Double IPA since 2018. The one before was 2015. Long gaps between, which for them indicates how they enjoy Double IPAs Ñ rarely, but intensely. They have tried to make this super clean, really lean, dry, bitter, but all integrating towards where we would like the balance to be with classic West Coast hops Columbus and Simcoe. The flavour pivots towards marmalade, oranges, then pine, citrus peel and citrus pith into bitterness. Rarely seen, and a must for old-school Westie fans.
