Chateau Guiraud 2005 Sauternes

Locted within the commune of Sauternes itself Chateau Guiraud is the only 1er Cru Classe, with the exception of its illustrious neighbour Chateau d'Yquem. The larger proportion of sauvignon blanc in the blend creates a moreish freshness, and despite this the body is rich and superbly textured. Dried honey, orange peel and stone fruit preserves and a long almond finish.
