Albert Grivault Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres 2019 Burgundy

Famous for their Meursault premier cru Perrieres, which is the jewel in the crown of this estate, Grivault is a traditional address making wines that are full of burgundian verve and freshness. This really is about as good as white Burgundy gets, possessing a wealth of concentrated stone fruits like apricot and mirabelle plum, on a bed of cream, honeycomb and regal toasted oak. The oatmeal note of top chardonnay is present, but it is the richness and the absolute clarity of flavour that makes this wine linger long in the memory.
