The Rambler Red NV Piedmont

Great value red from Piedmont, this is light, dry and pleasantly rustic, a good option if you want something inexpensive but not with huges gushes of jammy new world fruit, or indeed if you have a weak spot for the slightly rough and ready red wines of your holidays. This is the sort of house red that can quite happily be splashed in your cooking pot and drunk alongside the same dish from a Duralex tumbler.
