Thymiopoulos Earth and Sky Xinomavro 2020 Naoussa

A powerful and interesting red from ancient Macedonia in the far north of Greece. This is made from the xinomavro grapes native to the area. Succulent fresh strawberry fruits meet light, savoury spiciness - nutmeg, perhaps - with firm but fine tannins on the palate giving structure and shape. A fine match to some roast lamb, or an aubergine parmigiana.
