Inama Carminium Carmenere 2017 Colli Berici Veneto
More serious than their Piu, Carminium shows a more overtly spicy side of carmenere, full of earthy sweetness, autumn leaves and woody herbs like oregano, it is a wine that would be ideal with plain roasted game birds with its slightly wild character, depth of flavour and firm structure, but it wouldn't go awry with some roast beef either. With excellent ageing potential, this can also happily repay a decade in the cellar.
