Domaine Heywang Gewurztraminer 2020 Alsace

Opulent and aromatic the nose is full of the sweet spice, rose and lychee that are the signature of Gewurztraminer, but without any of the cloying bath-bomb notes one sometimes finds. Rich and powerful with an oily texture and a baroque sweetness, there is a certain flamboyance that makes the wine very gastronomic. A classic pair for local dishes like foie gras or quenelles, this also works remarkably well with spicy middle-eastern and Asian cuisine.
