Gabriele's barbera is a purist's vision of this misunderstood Italian red grape. Too often treated like merlot, harvested a bit late and trumped up with new oak, instead here we have barbera fermented entirely in stainless steel, allowing the juicy, bramble-patch fruit of the variety to shine through.
