Mount Pleasant Lovedale 1946 Vines Semillon 2013 Hunter Valley

Founded in 1921 by Maurice O'Shea, Mount Pleasant is an iconic producer of traditional Hunter Valley semillon, and with plenty of bottle age you can hardly hope for a finer expression than this. A mere 10.5%, this nonetheless has great richness with lime and lemongrass flavours overlaid on a taut, zingy core and a distinctive toastiness and a light waxiness so distinctively part of this unique style. A great match with Thai food or many zesty dishes that involve coriander or citrus.
