La Fornace Gavi di Tassarolo 2023/2024 Piedmont

Cinzia Bergaglio delivers a wonderfully uncluttered, low intervention version of a lunchtime staple, Gavi. There is a lightness of touch in the note of fresh white flowers and orchard fruit on the nose, and the palate is simple, subtle and crisp with a nod of almond on the finish. Lunchtime yes, or for a light supper of grilled sole and braised fennel with a drizzle of olive oil.
