Henri Jouan Coteaux Bourguignons 2014 Burgundy
The Jouan estate is under the radar, having previously sold a lot of their fruit to Drouhin, but they have some remarkably old vines, a low intervention approach in the cellar and the wines always taste territorial and true to a classic idea of burgundy. This is 100% pinot noir in a lively, rustic style with a touch of farmyard, dried mushroom and appealingly zesty acidity as well as light, crisp red fruits.
