Barbeito can be thanked for reviving interest in the great fortified wines of Madeira. This Rainwater Reserva is a lighter, off-dry style of Madeira, which serves as the perfect introduction to this most unique, and controversially neglected, wine region. Made from Tinta Negra and aged for five years, it has elegant notes of citrus rind, golden sultanas and a nuance of caramel. Serve it chilled, either as an aperitif or with a cheeseboard, and you'll see exactly what we mean.
