A real gem of a find from the high country south of Bordeaux. The Cotes du Marmandais is down the river Garonne from Bordeaux and on these gravelly vineyards sauvignon blanc can taste remarkably similar to the fine white wines of Graves. Sagey and full flavoured with brisk acidity and a bone dry finish, this is an ideal quickener as an aperitif and a great all-round house white. Perfect with poached salmon or trout.
