Domaine Verret Bourgogne Cotes d Auxerre Pinot Noir 2023
A lesser known Burgundian location, the Cotes d'Auxerre lies mainly on the bank of the Yonne river and boasts a wealth of calcareous soils that give this supple Pinot Noir a real freshness and drinkability. There's wild strawberry and dark cherries, along with a woody herbal element that's reminiscent of sloe gin. Generous with its fruit without sacrificing structure, this is a wine that would be equally at home with coq au vin as with a grilled tuna steak.
