Thymiopoulos Blanc des Coteaux Cuvee Amphore 2020 Naoussa Greece

This is the most exciting white wine to come out of Greece for years. Local grape varieties Vidiano and Aidani are fermented in amphorae, and then blended with Malagousia and Assyrtiko with five days skin contact. A fantastic attack on the palate, full-bodied and full of presence, preceded by a smokiness redolent of tip top white Burgundy. This is one for the wine enthusiasts!
