Violot Guillemard Volnay 1er Cru Santenots 2015

True to the house style, this is an aromatically explosive, layered and attention-grabbing wine with aromatics of petrichor, smoke and toast overlaying ripe red and black fruit. Given extra stuffing from the rich 2015 vintage, this is a wine to drink now with dinner or continue to lay down for another decade or longer. Terrific stuff.
