Uggiano Chianti Roccialta 2023/2024 Tuscany

This is a terrifically good value, honest-to-God Chianti: tangy, savoury, spicy sangiovese (with a splash of canaiolo), no French grapes, and free of misguided oak. It's an authentic flavour of the region and we can't get enough of its rough diamond charm alongside tomato-based braises and stews, or a tangy ewe's cheese.
