Natte Valleij Darling Cinsault 2021 South Africa
Once widely planted in South Africa, where it was known as poor man's pinot, the cinsault grape is making a comeback thanks to talented winemakers like Alex Milner. This was the Cape cinsault that first captured our hearts, an old vine blend from coastal Darling. It remains a benchmark in South Africa for this heritage grape variety, with its bright raspberry fruit, sandy tannins and sappy, moreish palate, with an exotic and distinctive topnote of Turkish Delight and dried rose petals.
