Chateau de Beaulieu 2011 Cotes de Marmandais

The Chateau de Beaulieu is an old, traditionally-minded property inducing longevity and power in these modestly priced fine wines. The 2011 is deliciously fresh, with bright black fruit and a touch of crisp herbaceousness that gestures towards left bank Bordeaux. The finish is long and firm. An excellent wine for a steak with peppercorn sauce.
