Poggio delle Grazie Sette Filari Marzemino 2017 Veneto

Massimo and Elisabetta don't like blending their marzemino grapes into their red Bardolino, so they make an Amarone-style wine out of the variety instead - as you do! This is made from grapes that are dried for over a month, and comes across as a lighter, more delicate version of Amarone, with that familiar flavour of dried figs and membrillo, balsam and spice, but with considerably less power. An eccentric delight.
