Bardolino, ever in the shadow of the more famous Valpolicella, is made with similar native grape varieties. This is based on what most producers consider to be the best of them: Corvina, supplemented by a touch of Rondinella for freshness. Coming from the cru vineyard of La Rocca, the result is all fresh strawberries, rose petals, and a ripple of tannin. Serve this slightly chilled alongside some charcuterie and cheeses to best enjoy its translucent charms.
