Once famous for its intractable black wines, Cahors in deepest South West France is the ancestral home of Malbec and this delicious example shows a lighter side with crunchy violetty fruit offset by toothsome, papery tannins. Very digestible and perfect for classic French country cooking, or indeed sausage and mash.
