Domaine Zafeirakis Limniona Rose 2024/2025 Greece

Limniona is a red grape indigenous to Thessalia where this wine also comes from. With its vivid, deep purple colour it is used to make concentrated and spicy reds but with less extraction of the skins it can also make a fascinating rose. This is less pale than fans of Provence's famous salmon-pink tipple may be used to, but those willing to think outside the box will be amply rewarded with flavour and interest. Dry with food-friendly acidity and just a touch of dusty strawberries and savoury wild herbs, it would make a lovely companion to Greek snacks smothered with refreshing tzatziki.
